October 27, 2015: Grammie and grandpa helped me pick out a pumpkin. They said daddy will carve something on it. Maybe daddy can make a puppy, kitty, butterfly, and flower design like I saw on the library bench? Mommy said not to get my hopes up and that if I wanted something that resembled any one of those things I should ask daddy’s artist friends. Hmmm, I thought daddy was good at everything? Oh well, I tried to show daddy my pumpkin so he could start to draw it out but he didn’t see me. He was busy cutting the grass. He better hurry up! If we dilly-dally I’ll be the only kid in the neighborhood with a boring ‘ole, uncarved pumpkin.
