November 4, 2015: My shadow is getting longer faster than I am. It used to be much closer to me when I played in the sun. The trees have lost almost all their leaves too. Mommy and daddy said that’s because it’s going to be winter soon. They say the winter is cold and white water falls from the sky and sticks to the ground. I don’t think they know what they’re talking about. Today was really warm. I didn’t even wear a coat. Grammie and grandpa took me to the park. I thought we were going to play in the splashpad, but the water was turned off. I met another little girl there that must have had the same idea. I wonder if her parents think white, cold water is going to fall from the sky? I was too embarassed to even ask.
