December 29, 2015: Maybe it was luck, but today I hit one of the milestones that has been eluding me. I placed one block on top of another block. I know, it doesn’t seem like much but I guess it’s important. There was clapping. Daddy says it builds hand and eye coordination. Mommy says it’s a box she would like to check, but she’s not counting this one just yet. She sure is a stickler for the rules. Last week I stacked the colorful rings on the stick. There was no discussion about checking any boxes then. In fact, where are these boxes? What other boxes have yet to get checked? Maybe if someone presented these boxes to ME I could check them off myself! Hmmm…maybe that is one of the milestones too? This is all so silly, I’m just going to play with my toys and let the grown-ups worry about their boxes and checks.
