February 6, 2016: My cousin Sydney plays hockey. She uses special shoes to glide across slippery ice and hit a little flat ball with a long stick. Sometimes she bumps into the girls on the other team. Aunt Ellen told me about hockey before but it didn’t make much sense until I saw it today. I only got to see a little bit of the game because it was past my bedtime, but from what I saw, I liked it. It was fast, slippery, cold, and exciting. Those are some of my favorite things. There’s even a truck that drives on the ice! I wanted to warn Sydney about it, but she couldn’t hear me through the glass. I didn’t see any cross-walks out there and that seems dangerous. I hope she is careful. Maybe I should ride that truck around and make my siren noise so everyone knows where it is. It will be hard work, but somebody has to do it.
