April 13, 2016: Ever since I was little mommy and daddy have told me “no.” They say it when I’m about to do something I’m not supposed to. I must admit the word has come up a lot in their conversations with me. I guess it’s because I don’t like to follow the rules – kinda like daddy. What I didn’t realize until recently is that the word works for me too, and I’m starting to use it against them. I tell them “no,” when they want me to eat, change my diaper, or take a nap when I’m not ready. Today I had to tell daddy “no, no, no” and shake my head when he tried to put his hat on my head at breakfast. For some reason, “no” isn’t working quite as well for me…usually mommy and daddy don’t listen to me. They start laughing. When are they going to start taking me seriously? *Sigh*
