July 20, 2016:  Lately I’ve been doing a lot of work around here and I don’t feel fairly compensated. I do a whole bunch of chores. I get mommy and daddy up in the morning,  make sure grammie and papa stay out of trouble all day, exercise my toys, reorganize my books, pick out my sleeper, feed the cats, and make sure mommy doesn’t use her phone too much. I get hugs and kisses in return, but the grocery store doesn’t take those. I tried. All that changed today. I scratched daddy’s back and he gave me ice cream! I used to not like ice cream, but now I understand all the excitement. It’s melty goodness. Tomorrow I’ll scratch mommy’s back and see what I get.
