July 25, 2016: Today daddy and I left for our special trip to the cottage. Daddy warned me that it would be a long drive, but told me we’d make it fun. He was totally right…on both. The drive was fun. First we had to say goodbye to mommy. I was really sad, but tried to keep a smile on my face so she wouldn’t be too upset. I told her “I be right back.” We drove over a big bridge and then I saw a bunch of big fans in corn fields. After that I asked daddy for a rest stop so could stretch my legs. We played chase in the grass, had a bottle, and then got back on the road. I took a nap, but when I woke up we were still driving! Daddy said we should take another break and found a park with swings! Then we got back in the car and I got to watch Paw Patrol…in the car! When we (finally) got to the lake Aunt Susie was there to give us boat ride. She took us to the cottage and daddy and I swam in the lake with my cousins, Cici and Abi. I can handle the car ride if every long trip is this fun. Daddy said I was a great travel buddy. He’s not so bad either.
