August 21, 2016: I’ve seen pictures of umbrellas since I was little, but I never really understood what they were for. We were playing outside today because it was sunny and breezy. I was happy to be outside. It has been hot and muggy for the last few weeks and we’ve been stuck inside. Today we went back inside to have a snack and suddenly it started to rain! Mommy suggested we put on the rain boots Aunt Ellen gave me and go chase puddles. Awesome! We went in the garage and daddy grabbed the umbrella. I get it now! Why haven’t we gone out in the rain before?! It’s nice to be out in the rain, but out of the rain. Know what I mean?
