January 21, 2017: In our house everyone respects each other. We all get treated equally. We are nice and polite to each other. We all have to clean, cook, pick up our toys, do the laundry, and feed the cats. (Except for Finley because she’s too little, but I’m told she’ll have to pitch in soon.) Mommy and daddy said that some people (some very important people) don’t do what we do. They don’t understand how to treat others nicely, fairly, or equally, so we all attended the Women’s March in Ann Arbor today. Mommy and daddy said it was very important to make our voices heard. They said we marched for grace and love and equality and hope. Finley and I didn’t know what to expect. It was kinda like a parade, but instead of watching from the side we got to walk with everyone. We even got to hold signs. I helped make my sign. A lot of people liked our signs and took our picture. There was also music, dancing, and bubbles! Giant bubbles! They were peace bubbles and the lady said every time I popped one, I let out a little peace into the world. It was so fun! Marches are awesome! I didn’t want to leave….but mommy said there’ll be more.
