February 24, 2017: Were we thrilled that daddy left all day and night to have a sleepover with his friends? No. Were we thrilled that he sent Aunt Susie, Abi, CiCi, and grandma in his place? Yes! Well, I was super excited…Finley was not. She cried a lot. She cried so hard she eventually fell asleep in Aunt Susie’s arms. Mommy said she was afraid. So. Strange. How could she be afraid of them? They are so cool and so fun! I got to taste my first Slurpee, play outside, jump in puddles, and take a bath! It doesn’t get much better than that. Mommy said I must have a short memory because last summer I acted just like Finley. That’s just nonsense. I’ll have to ask daddy when he gets home.
