November 3, 2017:  At lunch this afternoon I got the sense that maybe Finley needed a place to focus her artistic energies. We haven’t played with sidewalk chalk or painted on the driveway much since it started getting cooler outside. Something told me that lack of expression was starting to get to Fin. When we woke up from our nap, I suggested to mommy that we have some art time in the basement. Mommy thought that was a pretty good idea. I think she was just worried that Fin was looking for another canvas to apply her mash potatoes and meatballs, and mommy might be next! Yikes!
