January 24, 2016: We said goodbye to Emma, Dan, and Kristin this morning and left California. It was sad to leave my new friends.  We got home in the evening. It was a long day of traveling. I had a lot of fun in California, but I’m glad to be back home. Grammie and grandpa surprised me and picked us up from the airport. I was so happy to see them! I also had another surprise at the airport…we ran into Aunt Ellen when we were picking up our bags! With so much excitement this week, it was really hard to settle in at home. I got used to sleeping with mommy and daddy, but now I have to sleep in my crib. Mommy said we have to get “back to normal.” I wish we could make a new normal. Maybe one where I get to stay on vacation in mommy and daddy’s bed at bedtime would be a good start.
