August 2, 2017: I’m having a lot of fun at the cottage with daddy and grandma and grandpa, but every once in a while I miss mommy and Finley. I know! I’m a little surprised myself. I knew I’d miss mommy, but after seeing how excited Fin was to see me when we talked on the phone today I started to miss her too. Daddy and I went to town to see if we could find special presents for Fin and mommy. We couldn’t decide and the only thing that made me feel better was some new bubbles for myself. I’m sure I’ll think of something to get them before we leave on Friday. In the meantime, I kept myself busy having fun so I wouldn’t miss them so much. Swimming helps, but it rained and I couldn’t get my afternoon swim in so daddy and I painted instead. I also drove the boat for the first time tonight! I hope Fin and mommy are finding ways to miss me less too.
