January 4, 2021: The animals in our neighborhood really keep finding ways to surprise us. We said before they know mommy is reading from old mother nature’s book and now oppossum is the latest one to make an appearance. We haven’t seen it in person because we can’t stay up late, but it’s shown up on our webcam a few times now. Last night it showed up and left tracks in the snow. It was perfect because the lesson today was animal tracks! We were looking for dog (which we found!), coyote, and wolf tracks, but oppossum tracks were just as cool. Nature class is so exciting. You never know who is going to show up!
